Morgan Writer-in-Residence Program
The Morgan Writer-in-Residence Program, established in 1993 by Allen and Musette Morgan of Memphis, brings writers of distinction to campus to teach courses, meet with students and faculty, and to give lectures, readings, and symposia. The Program extends across the campus and reaches into the surrounding community. The Morgans hope the Writer-in-Residence Program will not only help and inspire Carolina's writing students, but also will provide a way for the public to join in the celebration of the literary arts.
The Morgan Writer-in-Residence for 2008 is Alice McDermott.
