Inter-Institutional Registration

Students registered for at least three credit hours on this campus may take graduate courses at Duke University, North Carolina Central University, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Students must obtain a form, Request for Inter-Institutional Registration, from the Registrar's Office. Tuition will be charged as if the registration were for a course offered on this campus. Students cannot register for these courses as pass/fail classes.

In order to be eligible for graduate credit at UNC-CH, students must register for graduate-level courses.

PROCEDURES (From the Registrar's web page):
1. All students secure the Inter-institutional Approval Form from the University Registrar's Office in Room 105, Hanes Hall.
2. Obtain appropriate signatures of approval (Graduates must get Advisor approval; Undergraduates and Professionals must get Dean's approval).
3. Return the Approval Form to the University Registrar's Office in Room 105, Hanes Hall where you will be given instructions on how to complete your registration at the visiting institution.
