Kimball King
Kimball King's first book was an edition of Thomas Nelson Page's In Ole Virginia (UNC 1968). He also wrote a biography of Augustus B. Longstreet (G.K. Hall 1980). He has also completed 3 book length annotated bibliographies of modern playwrights, including: Twenty Modern British Playwrights, 1977; Ten Modern Irish Playwrights, 1978; and Ten Modern American Playwrights, 1980 (All for Garland Press).
In recent years he has served as general editor for Garland's Casebooks on Modern Drama series and Studies in Modern Drama. He is currently Co-editor of the Southern Literary Journal and is completing a study of Southern elements in Tennessee William's plays.
Since 1984 King has taught nearly one thousand students in a theatre course that is offered in London each summer, and he is the recipient of a Tanner award and other teaching awards.
