You all have recently received a bill for your tuition. These are sent out automatically to each and every student whether they are being recommended for tuition benefits or not. For those of you who are new, tuition remission and in-state award do not show up on your accounts until late in the semester. It takes a while for the Graduate School to process the thousands and thousands of requests they receive for this benefit. Those of you who have been here a while should know how the system works. Fill out the deferment form on the back and send it in to the cashier's office before the due date.
If you check your accounts on line, tuition remission gets processed before the in-state award. You will see this reflected on your account first. Then, the in-state awards will be processed and this will show up after you see the first adjustment on your account. So it will basically come in two waves for those of you who are out-of-state. Those of you who are in-state, will see an adjustment on your account during the " second wave". I get a report of all those who receive tuition benefits and will let you know if there is any problems.
Also, please remember that some of you are having your fees taken out of your paycheck. This is done for seven of the nine paychecks you receive. Fees are NOT taken out of the first and last paychecks of the semester.
